You may not even notice these until you close your browser window to see them hiding underneath. Except they will launch a new internet browser window underneath of the window you are currently using, popunders are pretty much the same as popups.
Exit Consoles

Floating Ads
Usually special code embedded in the webpage you are viewing - these appear more graphical in nature and can hover or zoom around your screen. But they are triggered by more advanced mechanisms, floating ads are very similar to pop-ups in that they appear over the page you're trying to read.

Langebaan Accommodation - 5 Easy Tips For Low Fare Airline Tickets - Save Big Bucks Every Time You Fly!
Become one of the few who save big bucks EVERY TIME you fly! Low fare airline tickets are the desire of every traveler when we fly.
Even seasoned veteran travelers make mistakes that can cost them huge sums each time they travel. Most travelers have no idea of how to get low fare airline tickets when they travel.
Prices go up; when there is a lot of demand but smaller supply, & prices go down, little demand, when there is a lot of something &. All of airline ticket pricing boils down to basic supply and demand economics. Using a little common sense when booking tickets can go a long way towards getting you low fares.
Little demand model, this follows our large supply, in addition. Because airlines need to plan ahead for their flights they will lower your rate if you give them time to plan ahead. Preferably at least a month ahead, tip 1 for getting low fare airline tickets should be to book your flight well in advance, with this in mind.
So flying at unconventional times can save you money as well. Don't worry as much about the best rates, & businesses write plane tickets off their taxes. In addition most business flights are booked in these time frames. Everyone prefers to fly 8am to 5pm "banker's hour" flights and the prices reflect this. Ticket prices are likely to go down to lure people to buy seats that would otherwise go empty, if an airline has a flight scheduled at an odd time. Not many people want to fly at midnight or 5:30 in the morning. The second tip is to fly at an unconventional time.
The price difference in this case more than makes up for the cost of gas to drive an hour north. I recently saw a price savings of $120 a ticket going from Dayton Ohio to Las Vegas rather than departing from my home in Cincinnati to Las Vegas. Many times you can save large amounts of money by driving to another nearby airport. Prices at major international airports are usually much higher. Tip 3 for low fare airline tickets is to check prices for flights from more than 1 nearby airport.
But only if you ask, they will do this for you. Have them adjust your rate, call the airline & if it goes down. Continue to monitor the price for that flight, once you have booked a ticket. Is so simple I can't believe more people don't use it; tip 4 costs travelers millions of dollars a year &.
Can help you land some huge savings; folks that are on the "inside" have their finger on the pulse of the industry &. Tip 5 for low fare airline tickets is to find an travel agent or airline insider to let you in on the best deals.

Contental Airlines - Vietnam 1st Signal Brigade, 160th Signal Group, 40th Signal Battalion, cable Splicing School,
This was a bit of excitement for 2 guys that had been in country for about 2 or 3 days. We slept outside of the air terminal all night and made it to Long Binh the following day. On the flight to Tan Son Nhut AFB the C130 lost one engine so the plane landed at Cam Ranh Bay. I have added my home email address on the bottom of this article.Mike Massey and I flew from Qui Nhon to Long Binh to attend splicing school and earn the MOS 36E. I have heard from some of you and I thank you for the email. This is my 4th article on my experience in Vietnam.
He had retired from the Army and was a civilian splicer on that post. In 1977 I ran into him at Fort Gordon. I knew him for Fort Gordon. Sergeant Partain ran the school. Hurt and Raney, i remember two instructors. The Army was behind Ma Bell in current splicing techniques but the instructors did well with what they had. The splicing school was good for what it was.
I think the driver's name was Bennet from Detroit. I had a good time just looking around. I did go into Saigon with the duty driver for an afternoon. I still remember the color code. The school lasted three weeks and nothing too eventful happened.
More on this in future articles. The Soldiers who would pay for this failure were by and large the cable splicers. The Army had decided to install modern telephone switching offices but left in place an out of date outside plant doctrine. The Army would remain short of cable splicers for the entire war.
In Qui Nhon, 40th Signal Battalion, with splicing school over Mike Massey and I flew back to Company D.

Travel Michigan - The West Maui Molokai Tour - What is the Best Time to Fly?
I think it's even better because the waterfalls are just gushing out of the mountains and there's a strong possibility of seeing rainbows, on rainy days, in fact. You can always count on the West Maui Molokai Tour to deliver the same eye-popping views that you would expect to see at any other time of day, when weather conditions on Maui are poor, honestly. " The best answer is whatever fits your schedule. "What is the best time to fly, one of the most common questions asked by people taking a helicopter ride like the West Maui Molokai Tour is?
These conditions are not as prevalent on the West Maui Molokai Tour. It just means clouds may interfere with some of the view, it doesn't mean you can't see anything. Clouds tend to form and gather around our mountaintops as the island warms, due to convective heating and other meteorological conditions. Or any helicopter tour that takes you over the crater face a greater chance of being cloudy in the afternoon, helicopter tours like the Hana Haleakala Tour, unlike the West Maui Molokai Tour.
But no more so than flying in an airplane, it may be a little bumpy in some areas. And should not affect your over-all enjoyment of your West Maui Molokai Tour, it is perfectly fine flying weather, although it may look scary on windy days. Clouds will gather in certain valleys and not in others because of the shape of the valley and surrounding mountains. Wind and terrain will have an affect on cloud cover as well.
The flights are very smooth and turns are slow and gentle. Please keep in mind though that your West Maui Molokai Tour is a professional scenic tour and NOT a thrill ride. There are even non-medicated applications that utilize pressure points in your wrist to prevent motion sickness. This is easily remedied with anti-motion sickness medication readily available from most convenience stores. But possibly days of your vacation, getting motion sickness will not only ruin your enjoyment of the West Maui Molokai Tour. You may want to consider taking an anti-motion sickness medication as a precaution, if you are particularly prone to motion sickness or unsure whether you are or not.
Waterfalls are abundant everywhere. The Molokai Reef Flat and the ancient Hawaiian Fishponds, kalaupapa Peninsula is still easily visible as well as Halawa Valley. It really is a sight to behold. Many of the valleys remain clear and free from cloud cover and the waterfalls "fall" right off the Molokai Seacliffs. The poor weather conditions do not have as great an impact on the West Maui Molokai Tour as it may have on a flight over Haleakala Crater, even though it may be a rainy and cloudy day.
Yes? If you "search" for good in all things then you will inevitably find it, but. If you "expect" certain conditions that don't materialize you will be disappointed. Like which is the "best" helicopter tour, but then "perfect" is a subjective question left to interpretation. You will need to accept the possibility that you may not have perfect weather conditions on the day of your tour, to truly enjoy your helicopter flight.

With 17 miles of beaches there's more than enough room for everyone. If you came to relax by the water you certainly won't have a hard time finding an open spot.
As the biggest decision of the next morning is often which beach to enjoy, don't worry too much about staying out late. To martini night at the Spring House there's something for every night life seeker, from the rocking live bands at McGovern's Yellow Kittens Tavern. And just as many fun clubs and pubs, there are many delicious restaurants. After a nice day in the sun a nice night out is easy to find.
And something not to be missed about this unique island where New England meets the Caribbean, there's something special, whatever it is. Worrisome that too many visitors may change the atmosphere of their private paradise, perhaps it's because those who visit are reluctant to share their tales. Perhaps so few people know about Block Island because it's hard to believe that such a place exists in the north.
Byron Accommodation - The Tradition of Champagne Balloon Flights
And other landmark events, birthdays, champagne flights are commonly scheduled for proposals, today. A traditional balloonist's toast was born to commemorate a safe landing after an enjoyable flight, through the years. Which allowed the balloon to take flight, champagne was brought by aeronauts as a way to calm skeptics and angry landowners, on the earliest flights. Champagne balloon flights are found to have a very different meaning than the celebratory flights of today, in the pages of history.
Happy passengers rejoice as they toast to a successful journey. The most well known part of the tradition of ballooning can be found at the conclusion of the flight in the sound of a popping cork. Certain traditions seem deeply imbedded in the roots of hot air ballooning and will probably remain there forever, however. Balloon rides have changed through the years, to modern day adventures across the globe, from the earliest manned flight in 18th century France. The flights are commonly referred to as "champagne flights" signifying that the passengers request bubbly at the conclusion of their journey, although champagne is most often saved until after landing.
It seem to be the perfect occasion to share a toast with special friends and enjoy a tradition that spans centuries, no matter what the reason. As are congratulatory wishes after a marriage proposal high in the sky, birthday wishes are often expressed with a "happy birthday" hot air balloon and a bottle of champagne. But they are often celebrating accomplishing the balloon ride they've wanted to take for a lifetime, scheduling a champagne balloon flight might be something one chooses to celebrate many of life's joyous occasions.
Champagne balloon flights are both a distinct tradition and a remarkable adventure. One can enjoy the flight with a special conclusion in the form of a toast, early morning or late evening. The popping of champagne at the conclusion of a successful high sky adventure is a traditional worth savouring, even without the traditional balloonists' toast. And is being enjoyed more now that perhaps ever before, it is no wonder the practice has survived the centuries. A champagne toast seems the best way to end a balloon flight, or enjoying another adventure, whether one is celebrating a special event. The champagne toast has stood the test of time through the evolution of hot air ballooning, from the French aeronauts to modern day balloon pilots.

Caribbean Transfers - The Role of the Modern Gyroplane in Airborne Law Enforcement
A gyroplane is capable of limited hover at altitude and if the wind conditions are correct for the maneuver to be performed. A gyroplane is capable of vertical takeoffs and landings but cannot sustain a hover. A pusher propeller configuration, more commonly, thrust is normally provided by a tractor or. Unlike the helicopter which has a powered rotor the rotor system of a gyroplane windmills like- a pinwheel. A gyroplane is a rotorcraft similar to a helicopter that maintains lift by a free spinning rotor.
Nowadays egos seem to get in the way, there also used to be a time when a pilot was proud to say- yeah I can fly that thing. Maybe you are just not well enough informed of what a gyroplane is and what it can do, i can already hear all the helicopter pilots moaning over flying a gyroplane.
The typical gyroplane has approximately a 50% reduction in initial capitol outlay and a 50% reduction in direct operating costs when compared to a comparable size helicopter. We can also find smaller communities with a large land area that simply cannot afford a helicopter or its' maintenance despite the usefulness of such a resource. Or have no aviation department and are evaluating the bang per buck scenario of the added expense of introducing an aviation unit, there are many agencies and smaller municipalities that operate on a very limited budget in their aviation department, let's start on a level playing field.
So from a fiscal standpoint the gyroplane is a very attractive substitute for a helicopter.
A small community or even medium sized town would greatly benefit from the assets of an aviation unit and the employment of gyroplanes. Aircraft the size of C-130's, designs being tossed about to do that very thing, read large, in fact there are some rather aggressive. Could not perform this mission, with proper equipment, there is no reason why the gyroplane, while I have never personally seen a gyroplane perform water drops in fire fighting. You will need a helicopter for these types of missions, if you are looking at rappelling a SWAT team or a water rescue mission the gyroplane is out of its element. Think for a minute of the added benefit a small town in Kansas would have in a missing person case by employing a modern gyroplane. The gyroplane can provide rotary wing flexibility and greater diversity than a Cessna 182, if the unit is solely operating fixed wing aircraft. The gyroplane can certainly fill 80 to 90 % of a unit's mission role, given that a majority of mission time is either on patrol or orbiting over a specific site at low speed. Can it do the mission?
It is after all better than having no air service at all or having to close the hanger doors. It may not be one of the big boys' toys but if we think of what it can provide to the citizens of our community and the cost savings it should be looked at with as a viable solution. This gyroplane is also going through the process of certification. It has a good payload and size and with some careful selection of equipment can be outfitted as any helicopter. So you have a much more reliable engine than that little piston popper, the Groen Brothers Aviation Hawk 5 aircraft is powered by a turbine engine. Form a historical standpoint many agencies started their rotary wing flying in Bell 47's or Hughes 300's or 269's.
Honeymoon Cruise - Basics of Investing - Cruise Control Hedging
I would guess that the majority of investors have never owned an individual share of common stock or a Municipal Bond, today. Most people enter the investment arena thinking that "Risk" is a board game they played in college.
Market prices are increasingly and inappropriately influenced by decision-making based only on the derivatives that contain them. The popularity of investment products has heightened the risk for all investors and has indirectly led to many of the policy errors that threaten both capitalism and the economic fabric of America.
Where it is more difficult to connect the dots between their personal financial interests and their political alignments, product investors and derivative speculators participate in less personal markets. Few people consider the investment risk associated with public policy decisions.
But it is doable, investors have to deal with public policy risk every bit as much as they need to analyze the risks associated with the securities and other financial products they hold in their portfolios --- complicated, so in a very real sense.
And that's where all the excitement begins, the potential reward from each type is just the opposite. The risk of loss in any equity investment is generally greater than the risk of loss in any debt related instrument, apart from these important peripheral considerations.
And that the only real loss is a realized loss, not of market value, keeping in mind that investment capital is a measure of cost. Or do we risk less and try to preserve our investment capital, do we risk more for the chance of a greater return?
But it's difficult to actively minimize or manage your risk in the "open end" mutual fund or passively managed ETF marketplaces. The more boring or income focused the portfolio should be --- minimizing the overall level of risk, the older the investor, typically.
Risk management requires a selection process from a universe of securities that meet a known set of qualitative standards. Risk control requires decision-making by the owner of the investment assets. Risk minimization requires the identification of what's inside a portfolio.
While their fund mangers stand aside and mumble about the opportunities lost in either direction, product owners assume the added "fear and greed" risk of the general population.
And (b) developing outside income portfolios with any investable income above the employer matching contribution, 401(k) participants need to minimize risk by: (a) avoiding the poor diversification that may be a requirement of their plan, without a risk sensitive menu to select from.
Or buts, ands, no portfolio should have less than 30% in the income bucket --- no ifs. Not market value, the plan separates "liquid" investment assets into two buckets (Equity and Income) based on cost. The first and most important management action focused on risk minimization in any "program" is the development of an asset allocation plan.
Transaction cost minimization can be considered if you are qualified to run your program yourself, finally. And then tax minimization if possible, risk minimization comes first. And no investment plan should be developed "tax" or "cost" first.
Inflation --- a buying power problem that has nothing to do with the market value of the income producing assets, is the only real hedge against that other economic risk, by the way, income growth. Into retirement, possibly, a cost based asset allocation approach (Working Capital Model) assures growing levels of "base income" throughout the portfolio development process and.
And for profit taking, income production, three types of diversification, strict rules need to be developed for security selection. Minimizing investment risk is done best through the use of disciplined sets of rules for the various operations involved in managing a portfolio.
Causing short-term disruptions and dislocations, and when they occur unexpectedly, our plan is to take advantage of these changes as they unwind around us over time. We're not interested in massaging our market value to take the sting out of cyclical market value changes. Forget the Wall Street "I-can-fix-that" product menagerie.
And without the ageda that most people experience throughout their investment lifetimes, without commodities and hedge funds, the real risk of loss can be minimized without products and futures speculations, in the securities markets (stocks and bonds).
The QDI+PT applies equally well to both classes of investment securities, conveniently. Profit Taking are the only hedges an investment portfolio needs to assure long-term success, targeted, plus disciplined, and Income, diversification, the old fashioned principles of investing: Quality.
You'll discover that they hedge themselves quite effectively, and high quality income CEFs, if you study the long-term behavior of Investment Grade Value Stocks. "Q" is for quality.
And historically profitable companies and then only when their equity prices are well below their 52-week highs, dividend paying, b+ or better rated, risk is wrung out of portfolios by investing only in S & P.
You want to be able to buy more at lower prices. The total cost basis) and never start a position anywhere near maximum exposure, . Absolutely never allow any position in your portfolio to exceed 5% of total portfolio working capital (i.e. "D" is for diversification.
Similar diversification rules apply to industry exposure and global diversification through the use of the mainly world class companies in the investment grade quality categories.
Seek out above average yields while avoiding those that seem either too high or two low, in the income "bucket". Regular and growing dividends are a quality indicator in equities. Dividends or interest, dependable, own no security that does not pay regular. "I" is for income.
Buy established CEFs with long term "income" (not ROC) payment records. Managed closed end funds do it best and provide easy "PT" and "buy more" opportunities.
Look back, ever, and never, net/net 7% to 10% (dependent upon available reinvestment possibilities and security class), absolutely always smile and take your profits willingly. "PT" is for profit taking.
Has been shown to sustain growth of capital and income consistently in a relatively low risk environment, again and again, trading this same body of securities.

Jerusalem Hotels 5 Star - Visiting the Town of Grange-Over-Sands - Cumbria
And through the years has earned its living through fishing, the town itself is one that is very small. And you would be correct, by the name you would think that is located near the sea. But also the location of a civil parish, grange-over-Sands - Cumbria is not only a town in England.
However the river would change course and now does not flow by the Promenade anymore, once the location where the River Kent would flow by. Though it would also become one of the areas that would become a quite popular resort during the Victorian era.
It is not sure if the meadow that the sheep's enjoy will be left for them or covered up again by water. But during the year of 2007 it seems that the river has begun to switch back and the course may once again go past this area. The location of the sands has since become a more grassy area that many livestock graze over.
Looking out across the Lakeland fells, the view that you get from this location is fabulous too. A great spot to stop and get out of the rain! A limestone tower located in town, you can also find Hampsfield Fell. And also fee the ducks at the pond, check out the traffic free area. A tourist will love town center and the many choices that they find for shopping.
Also take a chance to see Holker Hall that is close to the Priory too. The Priory in Cartmel is a fabulous place to see in the area. And Cartmel as too other locations that are nearby to visit, near the Grange you can find Lindale too.
Hopefully the planning of a new leisure area will come about soon. It was a beautiful design and one that won an award even. However due to financial burdens it would be closed in 2006, back in 2003 there was a new pool built that can be enjoyed by the public.
Black Sea Cruises - How to Choose the Best Medical Billing and Coding Schools and Go Cheap!
How does one know which to choose, with so many billing and coding courses online? Billing and coding training gets a lot of attention and dozens of billing schools advertise their courses. If you're thinking about going to medical billing and coding schools or getting training you may be wondering about how to go about what schools you should choose.
Then a red flag should go up, if the cost is outrageous or extraordinarily high. One of the telltale signs when you're interviewing online schools is to make a note of the cost. Also your local college or trade school may offer medical billing classes and that may be the best way for you to go too. Although most schools are probably run legitimately there may be a few that are not.
You probably won't need the certification, certainly with that designation one might get a higher paying job but if you're just looking to get a good paying job to start with and gain some experience on the job - which may put you in a position to make more money. And a specialist only gets that designation by passing a national exam for certification when it is not needed for most billing jobs. Many schools suggest classes that you don't need to become a medical biller or Medical Billing Specialist.
Whereas online you can go in a shorter period of time based on your own schedule - whatever is convenient for you, the problem with this is you're tied into a set period of time such as a semester. Find Flights For Cheap - Family Camping Holidays in France
The choice of camp sites is endless, are touring with a caravan or a motor home, and whether you have your own tent, you have so many different ones to choose from, and with absolutely thousands of campsites in France, you could not be so wrong, when you think of a French camping holiday you may start to think of cold wet weekends away.
Rock pools and the coastline that the children just adore, hidden coves, but there is one place called Brittany that is one of the most popular destinations for a family camping holiday in France and this is due to sandy beaches. Then you will not have any trouble in obtaining information on campsites in that particular province and in fact you would probably be spoilt for choice, if you were to pick an area of France.
Which is the highest town in Europe, pretty villages and lakes to explore along with Chamonix, yet the Alps is a vast area waiting for the more adventurous camper with mountainous climbs.
Let alone others near golf courses and fishing lakes, you will also find others that are located near to Versailles and Disneyland Paris, the closest is just a few minutes from the centre, and with several campsites around Paris, which has everything a beautiful city can offer, the capital city of France, then there is Paris.
Along with major towns like Lyon, and in this area you will also be able to find some glorious wine produced on these slopes bordering the river, it is well worth taking a detour either side of the river which is where you can find some beautiful countryside to explore, and although most people end up going through the Rhone Valley without really much of a stop.
This is a great way of touring through France, but whatever you decide is best for you, chalets or mobile homes, rather just touring you can even hire out the caravans, and on a lot of different sites. Plus many other facilities, most places will be able to provide hook ups for electricity from either 6 amps or 10 amps.
Especially in certain areas of France, although inevitably the more expensive they will be, the better it will be, so the more stars a site has, which you will find are rated with stars in a similar way to that of hotels, there are a vast amount of campsites with lots of different facilities, as you can imagine.
But also complete pool complexes and evening entertainment as a regular occurrence, on a four star site you will often find top class restaurants that are even frequented by the locals for their phenomenal French cuisine, for example. But also for the quality of these facilities, not only for the amenities and facilities they have to offer, then three star and four star campsites are of a very high standard, whereas a two star camping site is rated for comfort and has some good amenities, due to competition from other campsites, a camping site with one star is a basic site and there is no where near as many these days.
In fact some are so basic you will need to have all of your own facilities or they may just about have a toilet and hot shower for you to use, but lots of these do not have a wide range of facilities available, you can also find places to pitch such as camping on farms, but apart from the typical camping sites available.
. And we have seen many tired travellers putting up their tents on the grassy areas in the service stations alone the toll roads, when travelling through France it can take hours or days, yet saying that, please do remember that it is only in authorised locations around France that you are able to camp and not in places such as woods, one quick point!
Some campsites are even open all year round and still even have facilities such as indoor swimming available, and dependant upon the area of France you wish to go to, you can go camping in the low season, which can be as low as 50 to 60 percent less in cost, but for an extremely reasonable holiday, most people think of camping as purely a summer activity.
Or mountaineering in the French Alps you could even have a camping holiday incorporating adventures like kayaking in the Dordogne, but for the more adventurous, through to the more sedate holiday staying in the grounds of chateaux in rolling countryside of the Loire valley, these types of holidays can offer you everything from excitement and family fun by the coast in places such as Brittany, or why not try hopping from camping site to campsite, whether you wish to stay in one place for the duration of your holiday, france can therefore offer you freedom and flexibility,
Which sometimes makes it a hard job deciding on whether you want to leave, yet do not forget about the wonderful activities that are available to you on site, and this is possible in many regions within only a few miles of where you have decided to stay, but France has it all, monuments and scenery that you would never think possible in any country, quaint villages, you will be able to get to see ancient ruins!

Business Class In Emirates - Fantasy-Medieval RPG Wages and Money
Though some games borrow from pre- and post-Medieval periods for their fantasy currency systems, as opposed to the earlier classical civilization of the "Age of Antiquity" (the height of the Greeks and Romans) and the latter "Modern Age", also known as the Middle Ages, usually from the "Medieval" era, fantasy role-playing game money systems and currencies are typically based on real-world historical values and statistics.
MEDIEVAL AGES
And are broken down as follows: the Middle Ages span from about 476 to 1500 AD,
Before 476 AD Classic Antiquity (Pre-Medieval) 476 - 1000 AD Early Middle Ages / Dark Ages / Late Antiquity 1000 - 1300 AD High Middle Ages 1300 - 1500 AD Late Middle Ages After 1500 AD Renaissance / Early Modern (Post-Medieval)
As a general baseline for all values and measurements, about 1450-1550, european overseas expansion and the division and Reformation of Christianity in the early 16th Century. This work will use the Late Middle Ages, and ended with the rise of nation-states, the Middle Ages are said to have begun with the Fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th Century, casually.
LIVING WAGES
Freeman or otherwise, rather than a farmer, it should be noted this is an urban peasant or one who survives mainly on general labor and day-work. We'll use the common peasant and all of his related values as our baseline for wages and money, but since there were far more serfs and peasants than anything else, be it civilian or military, one day's work tended to be the average measure of "basic payment" for most "common" roles in any ancient time.
PEASANTS: FREEMEN AND SERFS
About 90% of the people of the Middle Ages would be considered peasants:
Some Freeman even rose from humble beginnings and became gentry/nobles in their own rights. Freemen - fully independent individuals who worked only for themselves and owned or rented land from a Lord.
In exchange for security and minimal wages, etc) and pay taxes, fences, animals, serfs were given a plot of land and some basic supplies by a Lord and they would work and maintain the Lord's property (land. They agreed to this indentured servitude until they could get themselves out of debt (few ever succeeded), usually because of a large debt. Serfs - essentially indentured servants (but not slaves).
The practice was slowly dying out even then and was rare or unknown by the Late Middle Ages; although some slavery existed in the Early Middle Ages, slaves - Technically a sub-class of peasant that was treated more like property.
PEASANT WORKDAY
Though part of the reason the workday was so long was because there was usually plenty of breaks for meals and naps, and 10 and 12 hour days were not unheard of, exceptions to this average are certain. 7 days per week, at more or less 6 hours per day, this could be averaged out to 40 hours per week. 365 days a year, assuming a total availability of 12 hours a day, 370 hours available, out of the 4, 000 hours a year, about 2, worked approximately the same number of hours as a modern day hourly minimum-wage employee in 2009, freeman and Serf alike, most medieval peasants.
Leaving them with more "free time" than one might think - this accounts for their seemingly "lax" work schedules, peasants usually made all of their annual wage off of one or two major harvests or other seasonal yields. But rather their schedule depended on the type of work they did, most peasants did not always work day-in and day-out year-round, because most work was season-dependent.
WAGES AND PAYMENT
Etc, crops that needed harvesting, animals that needed herding, as it was THEIR fences that needed mending, as there was no point in dragging their feet, the same was true for Freemen who worked for themselves, to a great extent. Was usually required for a peasant to earn his complete wage, or quota, and a minimum amount of work, and almost never by the hour, week or month, their wages were figured per day (though they were rarely paid daily), since peasants generally self-governed their own work schedules.
The more he would earn, though the more likely the combat and the closer to the action and the more seasoned the soldier, and usually didn't even see battle, ). Those who served in the military in basic service in peacetime usually made 4p to 1s per day (this also applies to ship's crews etc. About 4s per month - 5s or 1 crown (1/4L) if they were really industrious, and 1s per week, made about 3d per day, who simply worked the land, peasants without some sort of professional or artistic ability, unskilled laborers, in general.
REQUIREMENTS OF A SERF
The Serf typically also owed 1/3 of his crops to the Lord. Before tending to his own farming and livelihood, harvesting crops and anything else that needed done, fixing fences, typically was required to work his Lord's land 1-2 days a week, who was not permitted to leave his Lord's land, the serf.

TYPES OF PAYMENT / CURRENCY
. . . But for those occasions when there was a trading of ka-ching! Etc, with trade and barter being much more common - trading work for animals or food, at least not much of one, rarely a coin, for peasants, the "coin of the realm" was.
But were fairly uncommon, existed, such as Angels or Sovereigns, however, coins that were worth a Pound. Useful for accounting and record-keeping, no coin or other physical item (other than an actual Tower pound of silver) called a "Pound" - it was simply a convenient hypothetical unit of bulk currency, there was originally. Was the standard currency base), not gold, silver, including the Middle Ages, pound - based on the now-very-nonstandard Tower Pound (350 grams) of sterling silver (in most ancient times and cultures.
Or one-quarter of a pound, represented about five silver shillings, some of which were silver but may also have been composed of gold, crowns, crown - Common only among nobles and royalty.
Probably unwieldly coins, we can generally say that a silver shilling weighed just a little less than 19 grams - fairly large, although some medieval weights were figured differently. So the division was more one of weight and substance than intentional assignation, you got about 20s to the Pound, one of which is thought to have represented the value of one cow in Kent or a sheep elsewhere), shilling - when the above Pound of silver was carved up to create individual coins (silver shillings.
Groat - Representing and likely physically composed of about four pence worth or silver
With each penny weighing just slightly under 1.6 grams, this is more a measurement of weight than of intentional monetary value, which were much smaller and thinner than the shillings - a shilling was worth 12 pence because you would get 12 pence if you carved up one silver shilling - again, into 12 silver pence (pennies), literally, each shilling could be broken down, pence - Following the Age of Antiquity's Greek and Roman and other currency systems' divisions for smaller units of currency.
Was never common but did see use from time to time, like the Farthing below, the Ha'Penny, ha'Penny - Valued at 1/2 of one pence.
This is about the most miniscule subdivision of currency ever needed and a lot of people tend to forego using such a small unit of currency. Cut into four equal pieces - not very practical to carry around but it let you work in increments smaller than one penny, the Farthing was usually an actual silver penny, rather than an official coin. With four Farthings equaling one penny, the Farthing was the further subdivision of the penny, farthing - Infrequently used.
So we see that 1 pound = 4 crowns = 20 shillings = 240 pence
I will focus on this 1p/day menial labor rule, since it is the lowest common denominator. Etc, burger-flipper/store clerk, it would seem to me that a typical peasant who made about three silver pennies per day would be like a modern professional - with people who made 1 penny being like a "wage slave", according to a good number of articles and resources on the internet.
Etc, which may or may not be adjusted for taxes, typical day wages are about $48.00 USD if you go with approximately $6.00/hour minimum wage, and for us in modern times, this would make that single penny his day's wages.
And most minimum wage actually now being closer to $7.00+ per hour, $48.00 per day is probably about as low as you go without getting into part-time and waiters/waitresses whose wages are non-standard.
Some more, i think the poorest of most of the *free* peasants probably made about a penny a day, i have seen other more professional and thorough research which indicates most peasants were lucky to make half a silver a day (about 5 pence) but for the sake of argument and a nice even number. 1 pence = $48.00 if you want to keep it really simple, if you base your criteria solely on daily wage, so as you can see.
Even say $50.00 to even it off, we have a fantasy/medieval penny basically being worth a modern (2009) USD total of about $48.00, going on the above assumption that an entry-level unskilled laborer made a penny a day.
This means an unskilled laborer peasant would likely earn still less than a shilling for two weeks of work. So ($50 x 12 = $524.00) one shilling would be worth $524.00 USD, it takes 12 pence to make a shilling.
And return to our basic assumption and change the average daily wage from one penny to one shilling, so let us stop here with this amount, this seems a bit much. Would have been worth about $12.50, being simply a penny cut into fourths, a farthing.
So let's take the full combination of the "liquid" payment as well as the abstracts and call it 1 silver shilling per day payment for an unskilled laborer. As a full belly and a roof overhead would be worth far more than one shiny penny, which could obviously not have been the case for the once penny wage, amenities), clothing, but potentially room and board (food, include not just the coin itself for the work, in this 1s/day rule, let us.
Let us now instead make the silver shilling worth $48.00 USD.
Making each farthing worth $1.00 USD, which would also nicely emulate the farthing, a penny (a 12th of a silver shilling) would have been worth about ($48 / 12 = 4) $4.00 USD.
000.00 USD, round down to $950 or up to an even $1, without too much trouble, which you could, the 20 silver shillings that make up a pound would equate to (2048=960) $960.00 USD, going up to the pound or crown.
And are pretty common too, while pence are next up as more or less the $4.00/$5.00 bill, costs at least that much, especially lesser items, and nearly everything of significance in any historical or roleplaying game economy, farthings would be your dollar bill, obviously.
We would divide our initial figurings by 3 ($48/3=16) to get a modern-day equivalent worth of $16.00 per penny. Suppose in between these extremes is the person who made 3 pence per day, lastly?
400 each, 600 and one tower pound sterling $6, crowns worth $1, shillings worth ($16x20=320) $320.00, this would make Farthings worth ($16/4=4) $4.00 USD each.
Your mileage may vary, essentially, and whether or not you figure in intangibles - as in most other things in life, medium or high average wage and pay scale, whether you use a low, it will depend on what you determine as the baseline for your own situation, really. So which is correct for your purposes?
